All fiberglass poles will eventually oxidize from UV, Salt and other environmental conditions. Although, the mechanical effect environmental exposure is mostly moderate, people can injure themselves when hanging most older fiberglass poles.

The Pole Guard was specifically designed protect our poles from exposure and protect your hands from fiberglass splinters.
